SILENT PROTEST OF CONCERNED RESIDENTS!
Over 200 people turned up to Thornbury Leisure Centre to attempt to voice their concerns with DECC on Saturday.
MP Steve Webb and Prospective Conservative Candidate Matthew Riddle attended and participated in the Silent Protest. They fully support the issue that SANE and the people we represent are experiencing ----Government by Bludgeon!
Reg Illingworth of SANE said "It is important that we grow our level of support beyond the 400 names on our database. As Peter McDonald, deputy head of the Office of Nuclear Development said---SOME OF THE SITES CAN BE REMOVED--IT IS NOT A DONE DEAL----We will make sure that Oldbury is deselected"
SANE are planning to raise the profile of the cause and this will include the next part of the consultation. This is in Thornbury on the 4th March and features a presentation of a key point of the development by Horizon
