Tenner Films---Looking for some dosh! Can you help?

Check out http://www.tennerfilms.com/

Hi everyone,

I hope you'll forgive my emailing you en masse. My name's Vicki Lesley and I'm the producer/director here at Tenner Films. I've been passed your contact details by the lovely Abby who's been doing a wonderful outreach job for the last few months reaching out and telling as many people as possible about the feature-length nuclear power documentary we're currently producing. I'm assuming that as your name's on the list she's given me, you received an email from Abby explaining about the project and replied expressing an interest - so thank you! Producing independent film can be a long, tough process, but knowing that people out there support and appreciate what we're doing really does make it all worthwhile. It's a cliche - but only cos it's so true!

Unfortunately, the nature of this whole endeavour is that it's essentially a labour of love where we have to fight for every penny of funding (I still have to work 4 days a week for a large TV company to earn the money to support myself on the Tenner Films work - if you want a proposal for a new property show or true-crime drama documentary, I'm your woman!) And sadly, the money I'd saved up to pay for Abby's time has run out - for the time being at least. I do very much hope I'll be able to obtain further funding to bring her back soon as it's been brilliant having her as part of the Tenner team.

In the meantime, I just wanted to send a message out to you all to thank you for your interest and make a personal plea for your help. If you like what we're doing, it would be fantastic if you could

i) tell lots of other people about the project - you can direct them to the Tenner Films website, Facebook group or Twitter page, where they can watch completed short films that will be a part of our final feature-documentary plus find loads of other info on all sorts of aspects of nuclear power from news stories, to movies, music, art and books, to interactive polls and a guest blog section

and

ii) if you have a few pounds to spare, consider making a small cash contribution to help us continue production. Alongside more traditional (and of course, hard to win) grant funding, one of our big fundraising sources has been individuals coming together to help crowdfund the film, rather in the manner of the Age of Stupid, but with much smaller amounts. We currently have a fundraising round running on the crowdfunding website IndieGoGo where you can make a small donation in return for a selection of perks - name in the credit, free DVD etc. You can easily donate using Paypal on our IndieGoGo page here http://www.indiegogo.com/CHAIN-OF-DECAY

I send out occasional messages about the project's progress and with notice of new guest blog pieces and the like. Let me know if you'd rather not receive them - but do rest assured that I don't email all that often so your inbox won't be overwhelmed I can promise!

Thanks so much again and great to have you in the Tenner Films family :-)

all best wishes,

Vicki
